Alternate formats for ordered lists

Greetings!

I would very much like to have the ability to use letters as well as numbers in creating a formatted list, as such:

1.
2.
  a.
  b.
  c.
3.

Other formats would also be welcome:

A.
B.
  1.
  2.
  3.
C.

I.
II.
  A.
  B.
  C.
III.

... and so on.
