bibtex refs to HTML
I'm trying to get my head around the way MMD and BibTeX work and browsing through the sample files. My need is to write in MMD using BibTeX refs and generate a workable HTML output. Any suggestions on a quick start?

BibTeX is a LaTeX tool, not HTML.
There may be other tools to convert BibTeX into HTML, but MMD doesn't support that.

OK. I know BibTeX is a LaTeX tool, but was hoping for some magic sauce in
there somewhere so that instead of using the footnotes features and doing
refs manually, there would be some intermediate step or option to
use/convert BibTeX references. Maybe Pandoc or the like can help here.
Thanks!

I believe Pandoc does have some additional citation support (e.g. citeproc).
