<p>Seems like I've found the reason why the above behavior
happens.</p>
<p>In my document I have 2 had two <code>UL</code> lists and some
white lines in-between (the document is kind of a todo-list):</p>
<pre>
<code>- item 1 list 1
- item 2 list 1
- item 1 list 2 (one or two return lines above this list)
- item 2 list 2</code>
</pre>
<p>becomes:</p>
<pre>
<code><ul>
<li><p>item 1 list 1</p></li>
<li><p>item 2 list 1</p></li>
<li><p>item 1 list 2 (two return line above this list)</p></li>
<li><p>item 2 list 2</p></li>
</ul></code>
</pre>

the<br>
second item. This creates a list with</p>
<p>tags.</p>
<p>This is proper behavior.</p>
