Problem with Graphic Signature

I try to add a signature to the letter sample file. I put the 'Graphic Signature:' metadata but after compiling i don't get my signature. Where should I put that file ?? In the custom-letterhead.xslt it is written that it should be in my Latex class directory . But of which class file are you talking about? I have two different locations:
~/Library/texmf/tex/latex/mmd/mmd-letterhead/ /usr/local/texlive/2013/texmf-dist/tex/latex/ Thanks

It doesn't matter, it just had to be in a location that LaTeX searches.
    I use the mmd-letterhead directory.

The XSLT approach is for older versions of MMD, and I don't maintain it
any more. It should still work, but might not work correctly with MMD-3
or MMD-4, which have built in LaTeX support.

Ok. This is the sample file letter.tex (just preamble and closing) but still there is no signature in the pdf out. I don’t understand why Latex doesn’t see my file…. (I commented out the .xslt file as you said)

Do you have the latex support files installed?

Of course yes. Everything is installed in ~/Library/texmf/tex/latex/mmd/

Which version of MMD are you using?

Can you send the original file?

If you want the signature to appear, you have to set the metadata to "true"

You're redefining the signature to "Distinti Saluti", but not including
any command to embed graphics. The defaults handle graphics, but you
    overrode them.

Change the mmd-letterhead files if you want to keep the graphics but use
