# TeX export broke from MMD3 to MMD4?

Use MMD to create inputs for TeX (actually LaTeX) using the built-in converter. The file MMD3_Export shows the correct exporting while the MMD4_Export shows an export which fails when processing with LaTeX. The newer version failed to put the following input lines

1. at the top of the file:
2. right before the body:
\def\latexmode{memoir} %% not in MMD4 Export
\input{mmd-letterhead-begin-doc} %% not in MMD4 Export

I am enclosing the generated inputs.

I assume you meant to say that you are having trouble with MultiMarkdown Composer v4, since MMD version 4 has been deprecated for years.

Composer v4 is built using MultiMarkdown v6. (v 6.0.0 was released in March of 2017). v6 works differently than prior versions:

• Changes can be found here. Specifically, LaTeX changes are here

• Full (or mostly full) documentation is here

If I have misunderstood, let me know.
